Adding a background image to IBM Content Navigator login screen

There was a requirement to add a background image to navigator login screen like this. (Only for a particular desktop)

We can accomplish that task that by editing ‘ecm.css.jgz’ file. Usually this file is located in [../IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/DRDMTEST01Node01Cell/navigator.ear/navigator.war/ecm/widget/resources] path. (Path can be varied according to your environment) This is an encrypted file so you can use 7zip to open this file. After extraction you have to add some new css lines.

In here replace “ThemeName” with your desktop theme name. After adding these lines, save the ecm.css.jgz and replace it with existing one. (Please take a backup of existing file before replace).

Put desired background Image to [../navigator.ear/navigator.war/idx/resources/] path and rename it to “CaseManagerBackground.jpg”.

After these steps you have to restart the navigator server with full cache clearance. (clear “temp” and “wstemp” folders in profile) Then clear the browser cache and check. Then you will see the new background image of content navigator login page.
