Happy March! 2020 was terrible in many ways, but the tech industry remained steadfast and continued evolving despite the challenges.

Here are some of my thoughts about tech trends in the coming years. This list is not exhaustive since it’s not practical to keep up with everything that’s going on.

Although CI and CD have been around for a while, many industries have somewhat lagged in adoption. Some people have an inherent distrust — of their teams, of the cloud, of the entire process in general, whatever.

However, just like people are moving from their datacenters to the cloud, people are also moving away from managing their build servers to using out-of-box SaaS solutions. Subsequently, CI/CD infrastructure has also seen a migration to the cloud in tandem with datacenters.
