Hears The Solar Eclipse For The First Time

Her excited ears were listening, listening to the faintest sound,
her heart beating faster, faster than ever before,
her hands, trembling, a bit, but why won’t it,
unfolding is something, that’s no less than path-breaking,
that’s no less than revolutionary.

The moon’s shadow swept across the sun,
layering parts of her area with darkness,
many scientists around, excited, seeing the solar eclipse,
but shall she see it?
no, she’ll hear, she’ll lend an ear.

Her eyes, they’re damaged, peripheral visions,
reduced to zero, but how can she not,
not be a part of something like this?
this new invention, that can help her hear,
hear a solar eclipse, that she wished, so much,
to feel?

Goosebump-inducing, first time,
she heard it, the click sounds, some programming which,
which converts sunlight into sound,
the pace of the click, varying, as, the dark silhouette,
the dark silhouette of the moon flickers over the face,
of the bright sun, blocking its light,
and her heart, pounding like never before, amazed,
her soul, immersed in the sound.

As the eclipse came to an end,
a smile of satisfaction spread across her face,
her inner eye, it imagined, seeing it, feeling it,
as if she was there, really watching, as it all unfolded,
the physicists’ inner child jumped in happiness,
oh, what an invention.

Harvard University has developed a program, that can convert sunlight into sound, allowing all the blind astronomers/physicists to hear the solar eclipse.
