I Still Love You

I always thought that dreams were just dreams until you came into my life. And then we were building new dreams with me. I want you to know that since the day we were born I’ve loved you. There are…

Making a Difference with June Miller

June is a medical intuitive with over 30 years of expertise in personal growth and intuition. June has been featured on TV shows such as “The Today Show” and “Good Morning America,” in newspapers such as the New York Times, and on stages as a keynote speaker alongside well-known authors such as Dr. Wayne Dyer, Neale Donald Walsch, Dr. Barbara De Angelis, and Shakti Gawain.

Spirit on the Water is dedicated to the practice and rituals that remind us to be playful, to connect to one another, to dive deep into our spiritual practice, and to love, yes most of all, to love.

Spirit on the Water, VI

June: At the beginning of my life, I resisted the idea of boundaries. Even the word boundary made me shiver. To me, that meant someone was trying to control me and inhibit my freedom.

Later in my life, I started learning the value of creating my own boundaries–not to keep others out but to keep me safe. I had to learn how to make time for myself. Now, I’ve got all the time in the world.

I decided to start a new series on Facebook. I’m offering an affordable and accessible online living room for our community to come together, and support each other during these times of change. Even if it’s just a conversation we’re having, we’re uniting. We grow together.

A lot of people out there can’t talk about their jobs right now because there are no jobs. They don’t know what they’re doing or how to plan for the future. So, what are they talking about? They’re asking, “What now?” “Who am I? “What am I going to do?” But, there are also many people who want to help. If what we want is to help each other then we can all get what we want.

I’m going to make an offering with the tools that I have. I’m going start this new series on Facebook. I would be foolish not to. It’s like people with beautiful voices that don’t sing–what? If you can make a difference, you should. If you don’t think you can make a difference, you might want to look at that…

Maria: What about making a difference?

June: You know how people say that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes? I want that to be fucking jam-packed with the most amazing, “Oh my God I can’t believe that happened!,” experiences, moments, and conversations. I don’t want to die wishing I would have–ever. I want there to be a reason for my life.

Maria: What about people who think that they can’t make a difference?

June: How you show up in a room makes a difference. It could be an empty room, and how you show up in it still make a difference. What do you bring to it? What do you want? What have you got to offer?

Yesterday, I was on the phone with a mentor going on and on — “If..If I just… If I would…if I could…” He said, “Shut the fuck up! This is not that world. ‘What if’ is over. This is here and now.” What if, I don’t know, I could ride a bicycle with my earlobes!

Maria: (laughter) Ride a bicycle with your earlobes?

June: (laughter) “What if” has nothing to do with what’s now. It’s an illusion, a trap, a deflection, an excuse, self-pity. I did it. We all do it. There is no “what if” right now. There’s now, and then, “now what?”

Maria: Oh June…

June: Now What?! What I love about the series on Facebook is that we won’t know what we’ll be talking about until we show up. It could be developing your intuition and inner healing, or using your body as a map to your consciousness, I don’t know. The conversations will come out of what people need to hear, not what I need to say. That’s the “now what?” I don’t know. I just know I’m going to make myself available for people who want to talk about what’s going on right now.
