Enabling Log4j2 configurations per Proxy Service in WSO2 Enterprise Integrator 6.6.0

This article helps you to understand how to enable and configure log4j2 appenders and loggers per proxy service in WSO2 EI 6.6.0.

The latest release of WSO2 EI 6.6.0 is compatible with log4j2 configurations.

Open up the log4j2.properties file found in the conf directory of the WSO2 EI installation directory using your favorite text editor and add the following log appender.

Here TestProxy is the name of the proxy service which you have created.

Define a logger referring to the appender.

Add your appender name into the section called “list of all appenders” as following manner.

Add your logger name into the section called “loggers” as following manner.

The most interesting thing is the configurations are hot deployed by itself.You don’t need to restart the server. Please check the back-end logs to check this.

Now the configuration part is already done. You can simply test this scenario using creating proxy service using WSO2 EI. Please find the sample proxy service for test this.

After setting up the proxy service you can simply invoke it.
