Demising Visions of You and I

Red boiling blood

rushes through my veins

like a raging, roaring flood.

Air flutters in and out,

pants in minute whispers

that navigate my lips.

Warmth underneath me,

liquid lacquer stains the grain.

Male mystic songs

lament in my head

like a clanging, crashing gong.

Cold slithers up and down,

pricks of tiny gestures

that maneuver my skin.

Sheet underneath me,

entangled embrace spreads the dead.

Damp dark sight

files through my eyes

like a beaming, blazing light.

Sleep coaxes open and close,

floats in soft waves

that beguile my mind.

Dirt underneath me,

strangling struggle ties the sigh.
