Mula sa ikaw at ako nagkaroon ng tayo

Saya, kalinga’t pag-ibig iyong pinangako

Nakatingin sa’king mga mata, sinabing di ako

Iiwan, ikaw ang nagbigay kulay sa’king mundo.

Ngunit, bakit? Pangako mo’y nasan na?

Akala ko ba’y hanggang huli’y tayo na.

Sa mga pangako mo ako ay umasa

Lungkot ang iniwan sa halip na saya

Ligaya sa tayo, akala ko lang pala.
