LIFE IS A METAPHOR

They say life is a school
The people you meet are your teachers
The places you go are your classrooms
And the things you face are your tests questions
Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to see my results now.

They say life is a playground
You may never get to play at the merry-go-round before closing time
Your favorite game might not be your best
You might not always go home with a smile, could be an injury
But can I at least get a Band-Aid over it?

They say life is a journey
There'll always be quick breaks along the ride, but don't be long else you'll be left behind
The road isn't a straight one and the potholes can be deeper as you go on
It could take hours, a day or two until you arrive
Regardless, don't stop till you get there.

They say life is beautiful
A bitter pill, alcohol over a bruise, an extended sigh of relief, vodka on ice, or lilies in the spring.
A romantic movie for a broken heart, a comedy for a sad person, and a tragedy for all.

They say life is.... The beginning of the end.
